Problem with Logitech Spotlight

Hi, since I have a MacBook Pro a continuously have problem with the Logitech Spotlight presenter. During long presentations and using the spot and zoom effects the presentation start to go slowly until it stop’s completely and the laptop crashes. Furthermore frequently the remote goes in standby and then it starts over again. I asked for a support also to Logitech, we checked all the configurations and setting but nothing changed. A lot of my collegues report similar experiences. Any suggestions? Or any better remote control? Many thanks
