iPhone's Low Power mode won't deactivate even with a 100% battery

I was having difficulty with the auto lock as the phone (15 pro) was locking but not going black when I wasn’t using it. After checking I tried enabling the Low Power Mode and this worked. However the LPM didn’t automatically switch off when the battery was at 100%. I switched it off manually and now have the original issue again. My phone had been in my pocket and got really warm just prior to this.I can only think that it hadn’t switched off so had overheated.

Now you can disable Low Power Mode too, bearing in mind that that option implies these limitations:

Low Power Mode reduces or affects these features:

5G (except for video streaming) on iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models1

Auto-Lock (defaults to 30 seconds)

Display brightness

Display refresh rate (limited up to 60 Hz) on iPhone and iPad models with ProMotion display2

Some visual effects

iCloud Photos (temporarily paused)

Automatic downloads

Email fetch

Background app refresh
