iphone 12 sim card not available

I'm getting an intermittent message that the sim card is not available / no sim. I can usually get it to read if I restart the phone. What's my best course of action?

Update: Spoke to customer service and they said it's a regular issues on the 12 and 13 after updating. They (Apple) said to speak with my provider (Verizon) who agreed with the issue and enabled an eSIM for the device. Fine so far. Fingers crossed for continued success.

See this support article about that matter:--> If you see 'invalid SIM' or 'no SIM' on your iPhone or iPad

If the issue persists, I suggest that you contact Apple Support directly, using this link:--> Contact Apple for support and service , or (even better) make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> https://locate.apple.com/choose-country-region . After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.

Regards

Giulio
