iPhone not detecting SIM card and randomly rebooting

iPhone 13. iOS 26.1

My iPhone suddenly decided to stop detecting my SIM card.

It’s been going on for over a week now.

Around the same time it started rebooting on it’s own, for no apparent reason (not overheating or anything)

I get service for maybe 30 seconds when I turn on my phone and then it’s gone.

The fact that I get some service when I boot means that the phone can stil read/detect my SIM card. So hopefully not a hardware problem ?

I tried resetting network settings. But to no avail.

No idea what to do regarding the SIM or the unwanted reboot

Not having any service is really problematic. I can’t be reached or reach anyone when I’m not near a place with wi-fi

When I’m outside, my phone is now just a glorified iPod.

If it were just a problem with the SIM not being recognized, I'd say get a replacement SIM from your carrier...

The reboots point to a potential hardware problem, though.

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of your local Apple Store or take it to your local authorized service provider.

Please make sure you have a good backup!
