Thank you kindly for your reply, franklg.

Am not familiar with Windows ... if you have enough storage space on your computer it may be possible to make a back-up copy of your complete iTunes Library, and store it in a folder that is easily accessible to you, as well as, (or instead of) to a USB stick or external hard drive.

Thank you for for the referral. To download appears to be simple as described. However, I don't want to be compelled to the APP becoming sole access to my current iTunes Library as said here:

'After you download the Apple Music app, Apple TV app, and Apple Devices app, you won't see any of your music or video content in iTunes and can't use iTunes to manually sync content.

I'm wanting avoid a playlist from flipping from numeric format to alphabetic format upon transferring to a USB stick, and the APP must be installed to enable access a short pop-up menu.

I tried doing what you suggested beforehand by transferring a few playlists into a solo folder alone outside of iTunes and the music listing flipped over again from numeric to alphabetical. Two front line Apple Technicians have both told me that it can't be done. But, had contact with someone within the M/S community in London last year who gave me the steps to follow that properly worked........but, I lost the steps and his contact name. And, as I mentioned earlier, someone else informed that it can be done via 'short pop-up menu ' generated by downloading the APP. Nevertheless, thanks again for your attention.

Thank you for your reply, franklg. Sorry not be more familiar with Windows.

Seems a playlist is like links to the files that are listed on it. The playlist has to be able to find those files to open them. If you move the playlist then it may need to change so the files are still findable. Wondering if you have the files and the playlists in the same folder whether the music listed would still flip from numeric to alphabetical. (Sorry I don't have access to Windows to try this out, myself).
