Payment Not Completed But Went Through

Hello,


I ordered some pizza and used Apple Pay to check out. I tried checking out but it gave me an error that the payment couldn’t be completed. I tried again 3 more times just to see if it was a fluke or my connection was bad. The 4th time it did work. I went to the pizza place and they made all 4 of the pizzas and I checked my statement and it showed the 4 charges but the company only sent me 1 receipt.


Why would it do this? Is this an apple problem or a problem with the developer of the app? Any help is appreciated because I don’t want to encounter an embarrassing situation like that again!

Next time, to avoid embarrassment call the pizza shop and confirm your order. Your email provider may have thought the receipts were spam, mine does that sometimes. The transactions not going through could be an issue with internet, your bank, merchants credit card processor etc. There is no way to tell without a thorough investigation. If you want to pursue it, I’d contact the bank first.
