purchase not showing up for refund?

i bought the app when it was still in pre-order, but it's not working as i expected and i'm struggling with the app to the point where i no longer want to use it.

but when i'm trying to refund it through apple support, the purchase doesn't show up. when i input the "i'd like a refund" option on reportaproblem.apple.com, the purchase straight up vanishes from the list of refundable purchases. i can see the purchase when none of the toggles are on though. the furthest the purchase history goes back to is december 29th.

when i dont put anything in the "i'd like...." menu, the purchase is there

but when i put "request a refund" purchase history stop at december 29th (censored the actual purchase).

when i click "report a problem" directly on the app's page and try and get a refund through that, it says i have no purchases eligible for refund? what is happening

was there a refund window of some kind??? does it not refund preorders?? can i just not refund anything before december 2023?? do i just have to live with the fact i bought an app that's just gonna sit unused for the rest of eternity?? should i just do it through my bank?? what does this mean

If you're having trouble getting a refund for an app purchased during the pre-order period, and it's not showing up in your purchase history on reportaproblem.apple.com, here are some steps you can take:

  1. Check Your Email Receipts: Look for the email receipt you received from Apple when you made the pre-order purchase. This receipt will contain important information such as the order number and purchase date, which you can use to provide proof of purchase when contacting Apple Support.
  2. Contact Apple Support Directly: If the purchase isn't showing up in your purchase history on reportaproblem.apple.com, it's best to reach out to Apple Support directly for assistance. You can contact them via phone, chat, or email and explain the situation. Provide them with any relevant information such as the order number, purchase date, and the reason for your refund request.
  3. Be Persistent and Patient: Sometimes, getting a refund for a pre-order purchase can take a bit more effort and persistence. Be patient and polite when communicating with Apple Support, and don't hesitate to escalate the issue if necessary.
  4. Explain Your Reason for Refund: Clearly explain to Apple Support why you're requesting a refund for the app. If the app isn't working as expected or you're experiencing difficulties using it, provide specific details to support your request.
  5. Consider Alternative Methods: If you're unable to get a refund through Apple Support, you can also try contacting the developer of the app directly. Some developers may offer refunds or other forms of compensation for dissatisfied customers.
  6. Review Apple's Refund Policy: Familiarize yourself with Apple's refund policy to understand your rights as a consumer and what circumstances qualify for a refund. You can find Apple's refund policy on their website or in the terms and conditions of the App Store.

I hope this will help you...
