youtube only works on one phone

I have an iPhone XR(personal) and an iPhone 14(work). Recently, when I play YouTube on my iPhone XR, the sound only works on shorts. It will not work on regular YouTube videos. But they will play on my iPhone 14. Both the shorts and the regular videos. I have reset my phone and it is up-to-date with the latest updates. Every once in a while, the iPhone XR will play with Sound on the regular YouTube videos, but then it stops after I close the app and turn the app back on. The iPhone XR will, however play regular YouTube videos through Safari. It seems to be a problem with the app. any idea what’s going on? Also, if I play a YouTube video in Safari, and then tell it to play in the app, it works. But if I close the app and start it back up, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t.
