Data transfer from iPhone X to 15 Pro Max

I will be upgrading from my old iPhone X to the 15 Pro Max, and I would like to know if I can use a USB-C to lightning cable to transfer my data from the X to 15PM. Also, are you able to choose which data you want and don’t want to be transferred, or is everything transferred automatically? (I know that when you transfer from iPhone to Android, the Android actually asks you exactly what you want / don’t want transferred, which is so convenient.)

You cannot use a USB-C to Lightning cable to transfer data from your iPhone X to your iPhone 15 Pro Max. The transfer will include everything and you will not have much choice to pick and choose.

Transfer Data from old iPhone to new-

Do you have a backup created either on iCloud or on your computer?

Method 1 - Backup your old iPhone on your computer like this 👉 How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support and then Restore your new iPhone from that backup like this 👉 Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

Method 2 - The Quick Start method and here is how to do that 👉  Use Quick Start to transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
