VPN NOT CONNECTING

I have a MacBook Air, Sonoma 14.3.1, M1, 2020. I have Nord Vpn, and all worked well. I installed Express VPN aswell, and also both VPN's are connecting fine, I can't get on the net. My wife uses both VPN's with MacBook Pro on the same wifi, and all works well since month.

Did a lot of help suggestions already, no success.

Please help.

I just wanted to know, how to fix a problem that I have with VPNs and my computer. I know why I need them.

It work perfectly before, now not anymore. So if one of the experts could focus on that, and not on if VPNs are good or not, I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Why are you using a VPN? If you’re not connecting to a private secure network like your employer (which you’re not if you’re using those products) or have a need to bypass firewalls put in place by a repressive government, you’re not doing yourself any favors.

Get rid of them.

As KiltedTim pointed out, there are only 2 reasons for installing a VPN. You are not providing security for your device by using a VPN. All of your website data is being sent to the VPN without any protection. They can do anything they want with your data and a lot of them will sell your information for an additional income stream. Do you really know who you are sending your data to? Check out where ExpressVPN is based.

With current web standards, your network traffic is already encrypted using the https protocol. With an iCloud subscription you also get Private Relay which will hide your IP Address. Feel free to search any specific VPN company on these support forums using the Search option on the top of this page. Having can be a problem and you have doubled down with 2 of them.

I don't use VPN for security reasons, I need to be able to use apps etc. in other countries, a third reason.

Sounds like you are using a VPN to bypass your country's laws or product/app licensing restrictions. We can not advise you how to bypass the law or product licensing.

But you shouldn't need two of them. They are going to, at some point, conflict with each other as they each try to do the same thing. Remove one of them. See how it goes.
