"Unknown error occurred (-54)" message appears when trying to access music library on iTunes

iMac Sonoma 14.3.1. Latest upgrade installed


Opening Itunes Music app throws these errors:

  1. The file “Application.musicdb” cannot be read. An unknown error occurred (-54).

and

2.The Music Library file cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred (-54).


Opening Music .mp3 files throws this error:

The Music Library file cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred (-54).


Anyone know a remedy? Reinstall? Corrupt files?
