Have new MacBook Pro 16" with Apple M3 Pro chip. I keep resetting the Menu Bar option for Clock to show date, but keeps reverting to "Never". How do I fix it so that the date "sticks" in the menu bar?

A SafeBoot Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support will sort many anomalies
Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.
