iOS 17.3.1 "Update" killed my battery in 2 hours

I have an iPhone 12 Pro; just updated to 17.3.1. Apps running slow, phone is overheating, and battery gone within 2 hours (previous to the update, my usage gave me 1.5 to 2 days per charge). Is there a way to "go back" or is this a phone-specific issue that the good folks at the Apple Store need to address?

You can try making a genius bar appointment, but most likely they will run diagnostics and tell you your phone is fine. Have you tried basic troubleshooting, such as restarting your phone, going to Settings/Battery to see which apps are using the most energy, and, of all else fails, reinstalling iOS using your computer?
