after using wrong password accidentally. Currently locked out not registering anything or telling me anything after using correct password, no instructions or info, simply not letting me watch anything. Can't even cancel and start again.

Ok. Open the TV app, go to the Account menu, see if you are signed in to the app. If not, sign in there with your Apple ID credentials. If you were signed in, then sign out there, and immediately sign in again.

Do that if you want to. Or don’t. Doesn’t make a difference for this issue.

Alright. It is a bit different for macOS Catalina 10.15 or later versus macOS Mojave 10.14 or earlier. Could you specify that as well? Find out which macOS your Mac is using - Apple Support
