Locked out of an Apple TV

Hi

I have just bought a second hand Apple TV

I have plugged in the power / hdmi cable and broadband but the following image/message comes up and the Apple TV won’t do anything.

Pressing the remote does nothing, I have tried the factory reset (tv and menu buttons) all that seems to happen is that the Apple flashes turns off and comes back with the same screen.

does anyone know what’s wrong ?

What is the model Apple TV? [1] [2]

What is the model remote? [3]

The remote may have lost it’s pairing to the box.

Pair the Siri Remote with Apple TV (again) - Apple Support.

With a working remote, you can exit the Conference Room Display screen (‘AirPlay info’ overlay) using the Menu or Back button.

Conference Room Display has an on|off setting in Settings﹥AirPlay﹥.

Conference Room Display could optionally be locked with a Restrictions PIN code.

Conference Room Display could optionally be locked with a device profile (corporate MDM), that the previous owner should have removed before handing over to a new owner.

Users are advised to reset to factory settings any devices from a previous different owner, to start with a clean slate.
