I want to stop Gmail notifications on Apple Watch

I am new to Apple Watch Series 8. The watch was given to me in January, 2024, by spouse after she used it for a few months. I reset the watch, clearing out her info, then setting the watch up for myself. First thing I did was to setup the latest operating system for the Series 8 watch.

I never set up EMAIL on the watch because I didn't want the function to wear down the battery.

I use Google email on my iPhone. The watch began to receive notifications/emails and displayed them on the watch face.

I have looked up several "how tos" on disabling email notifications but my watch doesn't seem to be set up like the examples I found.

I want to stop Gmail notifications. How can I do that?
