iPhone stuck in SOS only mode

Same here, I can't even enable Wi-Fi calling. Says to contact Cricket to enable Wi-Fi calling. Can't even log into the Cricket site because it's down and their hold time is over an hour. I have an SE 2nd generation

Cricket uses AT&T's network.

Just to add some more info.

I have an iPhone12 & it’s in SOS

mode as well.

It’s not just iPhone14s being affected.

Anyone else have upgrades the last couple of days?

I awoke to an upgrade for iOS 17.3.1 scheduled tonight.

Mine has done the same and even my sons went into plane mode all on its own but yet my hubbies is working fine i have now been on hold for almost 2 hours i just hung up after finding this thread and may i add i ha a iphone 13 pro max

My phone was working earlier and I just noticed it is stuck in sos mode. I can't make phone calls or recieve calls. I have internet at home and my sons phone works fine. I have an iPhone 5 12pro. What the heck is going on. My watch won't send or recieve calls either.

5This is inaccurate. I have iPhone 14 and do not have this issue. My wife has iPhone 13 and the SOS issue is present on her device. Recommended remedies did not clear the issue. We both have the ATT svc. Service is restored in our area.

Hence, claims of iPhone 13 or earlier being unaffected is inaccurate.

My phone is on sos also & can’t call or text , or anything can dine tell me what’s going on ,& why we paying this services for? You need to give some credit out for what ever is going on , not fare to none of us clients ..

I was not in one of the service areas affected last week, but on Wednesday (2/21) after several attempts to send a text the fourth time it worked. Then on Saturday (2/24) a text didn't go through the first time, but then did. I've gotten an SOS on my iPhone 13 mini a couple of times since but following the advice below managed to get rid of it. Now it just won't go away. AT&T? Latest update from Apple which I installed recently 17.3.1 I detest, actually. I only install updates after they've been out at least a week and I've checked forums for complaints - but this one is ugly and intrusive. Bleah!

Main point - I now have no cell service, have done all suggested actions outside of AT&T (I'll go to our local store later today) and it's Wednesday (2/28). Maybe some of these critics of hysteria would like to comment on this!!!

I see that the latest post here is from Feb 22. It is March 12 now and my phone went SOS mode post update on Friday, March 8. It still isn’t fixed. Is anyone else still dealing with these issues? Cricket is my carrier

My phone keeps going into SOS Mode!! I am very angry. This happens to me every 2 months. The store just gives me a new SIM card. This is ridiculous. At this point I should receive a new phone. J have followed all the steps pushed on this site. Still stuck by please help.

I woke up this morning and my phone was just on SOS mode. I've restarted it several times, put airplane mode on for 15 seconds and then turn it off, turned off my cellular data and then turn it off and nothing is working. This is really annoying because this is the second time this is happened to me, the last time it happened with my iPhone 13 and I had to get a brand new one. I have the iPhone 14 pro max so I really hope that's not the case.

I just bought another phone. I have two phones at 16 brand new and a 15 ever since I got this brand new 16th nothing but a pain in the butt now it's stuck in SOS both of my phones and I can't even make calls out or text messages what can you do to help me? I followed every single step and it's not working is Verizon down right now for all cellular phones please reply.

same thing here. It just did it out of no where my phone was working just fine.
