SOS after 17.3.1
My phone is stuck in SOS mode after installing the software update this morning. Very difficult to manage without carrier service. Does anyone know how to fix this?

No, it's not caused by the update. There is a massive outage in the U.S. There is nothing you can do until the network issues are resolved.

I don’t think it’s that. My wife’s phone updated to 17.3.1 and is stuck on SOS my is on 17.2.1 and is fine. Both iPhone 15 pros on ATT. Apple needs to take ownership, it’s all over reddit
Same situation here. My phone is still on 17.2.1 and it’s perfectly fine and we have ATT also. Meanwhile, my son’s phone did the 17.3.1 update and his got stuck on SOS. Apple issue definitely and they need to figure this out.
My sons iPhone 14 had the new 17.3.1 update installed last night automatically and now he’s stuck on SOS mode as well.
we have our family plan with AT&T and meanwhile my iPhone works still BUT only cause I hadn’t done the new update myself therefore definitely something with the New Apple 17.3.1 update.

I’ve read another thread and everyone who did the update last night is stuck on this whole SOS mode. This is ridiculous. I scheduled an Apple Support call for 10:15am today. So I’ll circle back on this thread on what they tell me.
I have not but I read on another thread that others have done a reset etc and it didn’t work so I also didn’t want to go that route if it wasn’t gonna work.

Please let us know what they say. I was able to chat with Apple support. They had me do a network reset which didn’t fix it. They then referred me to AT&T. AT&T is not answering when I call them. I hope you find the answer and can let us know more.

Have you tried a restore? Asking because I may do that since my wife needs her phone for work but don’t want to if it doesn’t work
