My phone says sos after I just updated it. I already tried airplane mode, turning off cellular data, as well as shutting the phone off and restarting. Still no service only sos. It was fine before the update

Mine literally is doing the exact same thing after it updated last night. Is there a way to get it out of SOS and back onto cellular data? I’m connected to Wi-Fi now but about to leave for work. February 22, 2024

everybody I know in Florida has a SOS stuck iPhone. Nobody did the update.
My phone has been in SOS mode Since last night. I have wifi but my phone did not update last night and is still having this issue.
Just wanted to chime in that I’m experiencing the same thing.

The link says we can text on Wi-Fi but we can’t. No calling either.
I see everyone is having the same issue with being stuck in SOS.
Does anyone have a solution?
Almost like five times. That’s a cellphone 1-1 nowadays and silly suggestion. Thank you, for nothing.
My iPhone is stuck in sos mode and nothing is working- restart or turning wifi on and off or Bluetooth.
We went into System/Cellular/Cellular Data/ and switched from 5G Auto to LTE - and then we reconnected to the cell tower.

You wait until AT&T fixes the problem.
It has nothing to do with the update. This morning my iOS 12 mini cell data did NOT work, showing SOS only all morning. I have now updated my software to iOS 17.3.1, but it still does NOT work.
Ask someone who can call find-my-phone to your phone - this brought back the normal service to my iPhone!
