Google Drive Download Error

I don't have the google drive app and use Chrome to Download files from google drive. I have started getting an error that other users have been getting. Downloads ask for a permission but I cannot find a location to enable permission.

My Mac OS is Sonoma 14.3.1 - Under privacy setting no solution to enable the google drive downloads.

I would prefer to not have the google drive app installed on my Mac.

One way that I figured is that using Microsoft Edge I was able to download form google drive without any inconvenience. It would be nice if there was a solution to fix the Chrome app though.
