Slow Motion Voice Recording when using CarPlay

I just purchased a new vehicle, a 2024 with wireless Apple CarPlay. With my first audio recordings on Snapchat, I noticed my voice was in slow mo. I thought it was just Snapchat. ALL voice recordings/messages record with my voice distorted and in slow motion. My replies to text messages don’t work either on CarPlay. Could it be my car or some settings?
