I can record the video then a grey screen pops up like seen in the picture. it is not a storage issue and I have the most recent update of IOS. It records shorter videos, but I am trying to do 40-45 minutes and it's not working. I have recorded this long of videos over the past two months and it's been working so I am not sure what to do.

I'm sorry, I don't have a suggestion about why Photo Booth stopped working as desired. but you may want to try and use QuickTime Player's new movie recording function.
