Botnet on MacBook Pro, late 2019

I have set my MBP to not run applications between 10 pm and 6 am. Also have set my Time Machine to not run backups in the same period. However, I frequently find my external disks, including Time Machine, whirring away during this close time.

My anti-virus software (BitDefender) doesn’t find any malware.

Could my MBP have been captured onto a Botnet? And, if so, how can I escape/ get out of the Botnet?

Malware & CleanMyMac X Hi, I was using CleanMyMac X till today, as i read here that is safer to uninstall it. But the problem that I have that it showed in Malware detection that I have Tsunami Kaiten Trojan and pointed to logind deamon but it couldnt be deleted with one click. How to resolve 'Malware Blocked RimAlbumArtDaemon' persistent message on new MacBook Pro? I have recently transferred files from a 2010 MacBook Pro to a new 2024 MacBookPro M4Pro. All was working fine until I tried to install the SkyGo app. That app would not install. I also tried to open an old Powerpoint file. At some stage the message stating the need for Rosetta appeared. Today I have paused Nord VPN, managed to install Sky Go and installed Rosetta. Since then, I am no repeatedly received the message - Malware Blocked "RimAlbumArtDaemon" was not opened as it contains malware. This action did not harm your Mac. I have trawled the 'net in an attempt to resolve this however to no avail,. The malware message persists and stops me progressing anything. Any help will be gratefully received. Downloaded SCAM Office - (HOW TO SEARCH FOR FILES DOWNLOADED FROM INTERNET) I downloaded what I thought was a legit Microsoft Office package for Mac, it took an appropriate amount of time to download (5-6 minutes), with the following installer: Microsoft_365_and_Office_16.86.24060916_BusinessPro_Installer.pkg Then received information from the SCAM company that I needed to download the following validator: Microsoft_Office_2024_Validator.pkg After the validator finished loading, there was no key to be found and no access to Microsoft Suite. I researched the company AGM Software and learned the hard way that they have been scamming people for a long time. There is no way to contact them for support, LiveChat is a dead link and their reply email was listed as a warning in my spam filter. I do not care about the money I lost. I learned the hard way. I want to know how to find out what was loaded onto my MacBook Pro, and where I can find it so I can protect my sensitive data on my machine. Thank you in advance. I am not very tech-savvy so I appreciate any guidance from the community.
