I can't type a Pages Document.
I opened Pages then New Document and a blank document appears. But when I try to type the new document, the typing doesn't show up.

There are two types of blank templates.
If you selected the Blank Layout template, there is no direct typing as there would be in the ordinary Blank template. Page Layout requires you to insert a Text Box for any typed content.
