Internal speaker issues on MacBook Air

I haven't used my MacBook Air in a while, so when I booted it up again, I heard no sound coming from the speakers. I raised the volume button up and down, but a X mark in a circle was what I was greeted with as shown in the pic below. I searched answers, none worked, and in the "If the internal speakers on your Mac aren't working" it still didn't work. Also, in the sound section of the settings, I'm just met with my TV's airplay feature as shown below
