External SSD Cannot Mount Eventhough it shows your on Disk Utility

Please see screen shot below. Can anyone advise on what's the best step to make my SSD workable? Thank you.

So Disk Utility > Mount does not take effect, right?


Is there anything important on that disk? If not, erase it as APFS (it is available when you first View > Show All Devices, select the device (not volumes under it), choose Partition scheme GUID, and then APFS).


If you must use exFAT, try to reformat it as exFAT (MBR) on the Mac.


If there are important files on that disk, you might try another Mac or PC to copy them elsewhere before erasing.
