Apple ID Disabled and Can't Reset Password

I'm in a bit of a pickle here and could really use some advice. My Apple ID got disabled for security reasons (still scratching my head over why), and I'm trying to get it back up and running. I followed the usual advice of hitting up iforgot.apple.com to reset my password, but no dice. Every time I try, it just throws back an "Apple ID not active" error at me.


Has anyone else run into this before? I'm kind of stuck on what to do next. I've tried contacting Apple directly but their tools not helpful :(


Any advice?
