I need to buy an ethernet cable for my MacBook Pro purchased in 2023.
Is there a recommended cable to improve speed?
There seems to be quite a choice.

Ethernet cables (the ones that do the distance between your devices) that meet the category 5 or 5 plus specs are specially constructed with different twist rates on each pair of wires. This reduces cross-talk between pairs, and provides better, cleaner signals. These can be up to an American Football field in length at speed up to 1 Gigabit/sec.
For top speeds, your Ethernet cables must have all four pairs of wires. Cables that have only two pairs can not use modulated signaling, and are stuck no faster than 100 M bits/sec.
Any powered USB-C-ethernet adapter will work.
