iMac not turning after power outage during update.(MacOS Sonoma)

Hi... I have a mac from 2019 and it works perfectly and very smoothly without no issues.. i have used the orginal cable and still am using... I always update to the latest OS.... Sooo today I was thinking of doing update and study .. i got exams at 26th of this month... So i already downloaded the update and only had to restart and install it... So I did that and it rebooted...so during the update loading screen... As unlucky as it may sounds....the power went out.... which sent a shiver in my spines as i have very very important files and documents.... So I am really freaking out right now... I am not able to turn it on.... There's no sound... There's nothing on the screen... No apple logo... No mouse cursor.... nothing.... If anyone would help me out... Pls reply fast......... I really don't want to lose any data or files

Pls...........btw i was trying to update to the latest Sonoma security patch update ... I think 14.3.1 (not sure)

Based on your description, your next step is taking the computer to your local Apple Authorized Service Provider to be serviced. My guess is it fried the power supply if you get no audio or video on startup. You can unplug it from the power source for about 2-5 minutes, then plug it back in and hold down the power button for about 15 seconds. If the problem is still there, then you definitely have a hardware issue.

Assuming you have been using Time Machine to backup or have another backup strategy then your data is safe.
