Now that iTunes only handles podcasts and no longer acknowledges your devices, how do you copy music from your pc to your iPhone. Apple Music and AppleTv apps don’t support doing this. This seems ridiculous to disable one app and not provision the other apps to allow a user to control content on their phone from sources other than the Apple Store.

Apple Devices. You need that separate program to sync PC to phone.
I have 6000 mp3s on my Pc how am I suppose to listen to them now?
they will not import to the new Apple Music app and there is no sync button either
You can try muzconvtool. I use it to transfer all the songs on my local files playlist to Apple Music at once for free.
