Hey, Ziont,

I understand your situation with the Apple Gift Card and the confusion regarding its usage with Apple Wallet and Apple Pay. Unfortunately, Apple Gift Cards are typically non-refundable and are intended for use in the iTunes Store, App Store, Apple Books, for subscriptions like Apple Music, or for purchases from Apple's online store or physical retail stores. They are not directly transferable to Apple Wallet as cash or for use with services like Uber that require a credit/debit card or Apple Pay linked to a bank account.

However, here are a few steps you might consider:

1. Contact Apple Support: While Apple's policy generally states that gift cards are non-refundable, it doesn't hurt to reach out to Apple Support to explain your situation and see if they can offer any assistance or exceptions. You can contact them through the Apple Support website or the Apple Support app.

2. Use for Other Services: If a refund or transfer isn't possible, you might consider using the gift card for other services or purchases that you might need, such as apps, music, movies, books, iCloud storage, or even Apple subscriptions.

3. Gift or Exchange: Another option could be to gift the card to someone who can use it or find someone willing to buy it from you or exchange it for cash. There are online platforms where people trade gift cards, but be cautious and use reputable sites to avoid scams.

4. Link to Family Sharing: If you are part of Apple's Family Sharing, you might be able to use the credit for family purchases, which can benefit other family members.

5. Check with Uber: Some services may have options for using gift card balances in other ways. Check with Uber's customer service to see if there's any way to use your Apple Gift Card balance for their services.

6. Future Purchases: Consider saving the card for future purchases that you might need from Apple or the App Store.

Remember, Apple Gift Cards are quite limited in their use outside Apple's ecosystem of products and services. It's always a good practice to carefully read the terms and conditions of gift cards before purchasing or using them to understand any limitations or restrictions.

Thank you.

Gift card purchases are not refundable and are treated the same as cash. Furthermore, Apple Gifts cards can ONLY be used to purchase Apple products and services, nothing else. Apple Gift Cards are not prepaid credit cards. I have no idea where you got the impression you could use them like a credit card. It’s no different than trying to use a Target gift card at Walmart.
