My device is locked with entering wrong passcode for too many times. The locked time is getting longer each time (8 hrs now). The apple staff told me that the only solution is to send it back to the store. However I am currently not in US. Will it be locked permanently if I try several times more? It sucks. t.

Here are the instructions if you forgot it : If you forgot your Apple Vision Pro passcode - Apple Support. At the beginning you had to go to an Apple Store but possibly now you can try the instructions in the link. You will need to know your Apple ID & its password. If it doesn’t work you will need proof of purchase documentation to take it to a store upon your return to the US.

Oh that’s right, this option was added to the update due to some not being able to unlock with their passcode. You will need to visit an Apple Store. Then you should install the update to guard against this happening again .
To my knowledge yes. As with all Apple products the locked amount of time increases every time you incorrectly enter you password.
