shut down/start up

1)Should i close windows before shutting down my macbook air?

2)Should i shut down my macbook air every night?

3)Will the windows i left open be there when i restart my macbook air the next day?

1) Not necessary. It would be a personal choice.

2) Again, not necessary. For me, I typically power-down all of my computers every night. There is no harm either way.

3) It depends. If you shutdown, you may be offered that option. Once you do, whatever app windows you had running will resume after powering up your Mac. Ref: Prevent apps and windows from reopening on Mac - Apple Support
