AirPlay Volume Control not working correctly - slider control not working as expected.
iPhone 12 17.3.1
When AirPlaying to HomePod or any AirPlay speaker from within the Music App - The volume slider independently increases to about 2/3rds volume. This happens each time you use use fast forward/skip track OR when the song changes; however the actual playback volume remains unchanged…that is until you touch the volume slider or physical buttons and then volume increases to a deafening level.
Adjust the volume slider to a desired position (at the risk of being deafened) > Allow screen lock or lock the device > Open the device and hey presto the slider has jumped back to it’s 2/3rd position.
It appears to be Normal behaviour if you use Control Center to adjust volume. (Rarely use Control Center though)
Consequently volume control from within the Music App is basically useless as you risk being deafened or damaging a speaker.
Will Apple ever manage to get basic functionality? Every single update and a new bug appears!
