Performance difference between 140w power supply and 100w power supply

I am using a mac book pro m2 max

I want to buy a docking station, but I can't find a product that will power it with 140w.

Does anyone know if it's still a performance issue since it's a 100w power supply at best?

Also, for example

I want to use a 140w AC charger with a type-c

I wonder if it is possible to connect it to a docking station and have it powered at 140w as it is?

It is about fast charging...and demand.

If the mac under a load can not keep up with the power demand it will borrow freely from the battery.

Don't go through the Dock if that is your only issue.

The Mac will manage the power input, there is no further penalty.
