Mail and Text Notifications not working

I changed my Microsft Exchange password and no longer getting g/seeing notifications for email or texts. I have checked all my settings to ensure notifications are on and data push is on.

What steps are needed to remove or change the notification email? On Apple Account when accessed via web in sections 'sign-in and security' there is a field 'notification email'. Email address that I must have put here in the past is no longer valid. I try to remove it but I get a message to continue on one of my devices. But I do not understand what does it mean? never mind ...my do not disturb was on ...all working fine now
