The 27" cinema display has a mini DP connector. You will need a DP to USB-C adapter like this:
Thanks!
I already purchased a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to a Thunderbolt 2 adapter from the Apple store and it doesn't work.
I ordered the adapter you suggested in the event it does pass thru better than the Apple adapter.
I am wondering if I need some kind of driver added to the new M3 Mac Pro laptop. From what I can tell, resolution options are very low.
I was expecting so much more from the new laptop but it appears to be an Apple downgrade from the 14 year old Mac Pro I have still limping along. I can't upgrade the software (not supported!)
The TB2 to TB3 adapter is for the TB display not the Cinema display. You will find the Cinema display to have a low resolution as compared to your Mac and to many newer displays. You may want to consider a newer display of 4k or 5K resolution.
Thank you A THOUSAND TIMES OVER tbirdvet.
I ordered the Amazon adapter and IT WORKED. OWE YOU A BEER OR WHATEVER LIBATION YOU CHOOSE! YOU ROCK.
Glad to hear.
