Spatial Video on Meta Quest

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max. It is the same phone paired with my Meta Quest 3. My husband has an iPhone 15 Pro Max. He can record spatial video and airdrop it to me with the data intact on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. But only iPhone 15 Pro can transfer the files to Quest using the Quest app, so they can be viewed using the headset. Transferring the files has been restricted to the 15 Pro by Apple. (Speculation because Meta refuses to comment on it.)

This prevents either of us from watching the spatial videos because he doesn’t have a headset and I can only pair one phone to my headset.

It’s unfortunate and the only explanation I can imagine is Apple wants to encourage sales of the 15 Pro Max or the Vision Pro.

I don’t really have a question. I’m just disappointed and needed to vent. Greed is mean sometimes.
