Updated to IOS 17.3.1

My iPhone 15 Pro updated to 17.3.1 this morning and now the phone doesn't recognize touch at all. I tried following the procedure for forcing reboot, but that doesn't work either. So now I am left with an expensive paperweight. Any ideas would be welcome.

I brought the phone to the local MAC store where they worked on the phone for quite awhile. The USB-C port was also non-responsive. They were able to reset the phone to factory settings and then restored a previous backup.

Problem resolved!

I noted that the backup was of 17.3.1, so now I think I understand what happened. I received the auto update notice for 17.3.1. The next day, the notice was still present in settings, so I assumed the auto update didn't happen and I subsequently updated 17.3.1 with 17.3.1 fI believe the second update created some conflicts in IOS.
