Why are my blood oxygen numbers below 90 while sleeping?

My blood oxygen numbers are always in the high 90s during the day but drop into the 80s while sleeping. Can you tell me why?

It is normal for blood oxygen to drop a little bit during sleep but not to low levels. 88 or below is considered dangerously low and even numbers below 92 are low. I would advise checking with your doctor. This is a technical support forum and not a source for medical advice.
