Unable to cancel WalkFit subscription from the App Store

The Walkfit subscription is not listed under my subscriptions so there is no way to cancel. They just took another month's fee for this app.

It is patently obvious that this UI is intentionally deceptive and burdensome to users to cancel. When directed to their website for the purpose of cancelling, there is a labyrinth preventing the desired action of cancelling. This app should be completely removed from access to the Apple marketplace.

same thing happened to me- found out: go to the app >settings and then cancel membership from there- I had paid by Paypal so I went there to my wallet and delete the app as a payee- may show up as Actitech. it did NOT get me back the current billing they took out but it did at least prevented it for Future

Apple is allowing this app to charge monthly subscriptions outside the App Store without providing an option to cancel, which is clearly deceptive and violates App Store guidelines.

Why can’t we get anyone at Apple to address this issue? I’m deeply disappointed.

I THINK I cancelled walk-fit, but while my subscription has not yet expired I can not log in at all. There is no where on the app to contact support unless you log in and it recognizes my email but does not allow me to log in. Keeps defaulting to the opening page of user questions. This is a disturbing, poorly designed and apparently scam app.

You might be able to cancel but there seems to be no where that your payment or card information is saved. I’m disputing it with my bank as they said I don’t qualify for a refund but they would give me a “free” year (charged me almost 100.00 Cdn). I’ve also put up bad reviews and hopefully that will help others having to go through this.

Same issue, and they are telling me that per their refund policy I may not be refunded for any part of the subscription that I was not aware I had and do not intend to use. It was not shown in the App Store (as their FAQs state). It was charged today and has not been utilized so it is incredibly deceptive to not allow a refund for something I wasn’t even subscribed to.

Try this:

  1. Go into app. Go to settings/account/delete account. Add in your email. Delete.
  2. You'll get an email that says it was deleted. Send them an email to ask them to confirm they are no longer sending payments.
  3. Go into your phone settings/subscriptions.
  4. Ensure that you have cancelled the subscription in your phone as well.
  5. If these steps don't work, the only way to cancel is to then go through your bank. They will make a fraud claim and likely issue you a new card.

Worst app ever.
