iPhone 15 Pro I keep inadvertently switching off the ringer

I am a left handed guy, and guess I hold the iPhone 15 Pro most of the time in my right hand. My index finger appears to always find the ringer button and either I find it switched off or set sooo low that I can't hear it. I have been using iPhones for I guess 15 years (the first one was from memory 2007) and have never had such a bad problem as with this one - I guess 9 out of 10 calls I don't hear, as I have switched the ringer off! help

Since you seem prone to tapping the action button inadvertently, turn the action button off and this won't happen.

Go to Settings > Action Button > and slide through the options until you land on none then close the settings app and the Action Button will no longer mute your phone. In the future to mute your phone, you'll just pull down from the upper right hand corner of your iPhone to open Control Center, where you can mute the phone there if you need to mute it.
