Removing iMessage widgets

I recently noticed that my iPhone iMessage interface has been updated slightly. Notably, on hitting the + button on the new message line, a number of different widget/app options open up (ie App Store, gif library, stickers, location, and many more). Previously I was able to delete any of these that I didn’t want or use and they completely vanished. Is there still a way to do this? For example, to completely remove the App Store option, not just rearrange it?
