Mac Mini dropping microphone every time I walk away

My 2023 M2 Mac Mini keeps dropping my Yeti Blue microphone when I walk away from it. I have to unplug the mic and plug it back in to get the computer to recognize it again. When I sit at the mic and am silent it does not drop, but when I actually walk away from it, it does drop. My guess is when there is truly no input going into the mic, the computer kills it? I have searched every setting I can find and cannot find a fix for this. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Sounds like the Mac mini is going into Computer Sleep mode and turning off the USB to the Mic.

As a test:

Turn On "Prevent automatic sleeping when display is off" and only allowing the display to turn off.

Then just leave the Mac main On with display Off when you walk away and shut down for longer periods of non-use.
