When traveling abroad and using a local SIM card, is there a way to get my SMS texts to my home cell number without swiching to home carrier? Unfortunately, they charge $10/day if I switch back even for a minute. This will be a great app if it can?

You can't do so with a Carrier, but there are some third-party apps that allow this, according to the following link.
