Sonoma security permissions, microphone can't be used

Hello everyone, I'm facing some problems and I don't know how to solve them, after I updated Sonoma to 14.1.3, I simply can't send audios anymore! Use WhatsApp here (latest version) and another old version to use WhatsApp for business, and every time you click on the microphone, this screen appears

requesting permission, when clicked, it opens the preferences system, privacy and security, microphone, but no program is listed that requires information.

and before you say oh it's your microphone, I use Beats headphones, and it works perfectly, so much so that in my sound input, it is recognized as well as the microphone.

what can be done? I've already tried some commands in the terminal, I used GPT 4, BARD GEMINI PRO, and nothing...

ESET could well be blocking access.

macOS is mounted as a snapshot - a sealed, readonly volume that cannot be changed while running.

There are zero virus that can affect the mac.

There is malware, though. It requires the user's cooperation to get installed.

macOS already has a strong anti-malware built-in, that is constantly updated.

Third party "antivirus" are only hurting your mac's performance and potentially conflicting with the built-in system security - if anything, rendering your mac less secure.

Clearly the problem is that, even though Whatsapp should be asking for permission to use the mic, and apparently, it is; but said permission does not appear in System Settings->Privacy & Security->Microphone.

The only two things I can think of right now that could impact this are:

a) maybe Whatsapp needs to be updated;

b) that pesky "antivirus".

EDIT: I am Portuguese 😀

Every mac (and, for that matter, any windows pc) already comes with a built-in security that is created by the manufacturer.

You could try this exercise: disconnect your mac from the internet (to allay your fears of "contamination"), and try using the microphone again (yes, I know it won't be able to send anything, but that is not the point - the point is seeing if the request reaches System Settings.

Hi, I understand.

It's Intel, when it comes to hardware it's not even the issue because on Mojave, Highsierra, Big Sur, Monterrey and Sonoma 14. I was able to send audios with ease here..

Then I installed everything again after an Adobe program crashed here and I couldn't reinstall it.

Recently I noticed that on business WhatsApp it wasn't sending audio, I even thought because it's an old version, but on WhatsApp, the latest version downloaded from the app store here on Mac, it won't work either.

pretty strange, right?

I used this: tcutil reset Microphone

I did a test in music and even managed to put whastapps in photo and other things here, I also can't click on the plus icon to add.

This command you gave, I really didn't understand:

ac-Pro ~ % man tccutil | more

I am merely pointing out what you presented to me above is garbage.

"garbage in garbage out"

the man page is simple the reference page, in an effort to help you get it right. I know nothing of your robot reference.

Further—

Third party AntiVirus is not recommended— it typically does nothing but add issues to the macOS and competes directly with Apple’s own built in security.

third party AV is known to cause issue on the macOS . Full Stop.

the antivirus doesn't make my system slow, and as I told in previous OS systems included Sonoma 14

the mic was perfectly working.

now I can see can't give permissions for mic, photos, contacts, calendars, motion&fitness, home kit, speech recognition.

I tried to add in developer,

but no success

Feb 28, 2024 9:00 AM in response to Randall_2023

anyway in actual day, lotta sites has some virus or other threats hidden, we have to be protected, and I use some bank system here too.

its a paid version, doesnt conflict with any program since Apple pro programs until the adobe's 2024.

the mic on WhatsApp and telegram was working fine in previous versions like Sonoma 14, and older Monterrey, Big Sur, Mojave..

Hi Luis, will answer in English, I dunno if u're Brazilian too.

the mic was ok in previous Versions of Sonoma.

as I access lotta design site all over the other, there some treats I can't let enter here, since I use too bank system support, and I really luv apple but, I work with internet since 2006 and we know there is no "safe" system. and to bank I need to have a antivirus.

anyway, the apple system is recognize the BEATs headphone and mic.

here in sound input, I can see the mic is working:

I just would like to give to what app the access, and there is no "+" icon to add there..

are there some way to do that?

or better
