I am trying to access an old Seagate Hard Drive. It is NTFS and I was able to make myself able to read/write on the hard drive but I still cannot add documents to it. In the "Get Info" menu, under "Sharing & Permissions" the + - and three dot drop down menu do not work. can anyone help?

If you are not using this old drive on a Windows computer this is what I would do. I would copy all the files off the drive onto your Mac's drive or onto another external drive. I would then use Disk Utility to format the old drive for use on your Mac. Then I would write all the copied files back onto the old drive.

A Mac computer can not natively write to a NTFS formatted drive. Writing to a NTFS formatted drive from the MacOS can only be done through the use of a third party app.
