german keyboard question: @ symbol

I understand it is option and L but if I type such combination I receive ¬


what should I do

Try Option Q instead, that's the @ on the German Standard layout.


If you want it on option L, switch your input source to German instead.


In any case, check the list at system settings > keyboard > text input > edit > input sources and make sure you only have German or German Standard on the list and remove anything else.
