iPad Air 3 since 17.3.1, randomly shuts down and cannot get back to Home Screen. Requires random pressing of buttons, watching screen flicker until iPad comes on. No rhyme or reason. VERY frustrating and disruptive! When will fix to update be available?

Less likely, perhaps you have a storage issue. Check Settings > General > iPad Storage and be certain you never have less than 6GB free.
