I got a notification saying that there is an AirTag with me but I don’t own one

I recently got a notification that an air tag was near me. I never have bought one and have not found or heard one.

That’s an indication than an AirTag might possibly be tracking you surreptitiously.

(although it can be also triggered by more benign circumstances)
